RANT on JUDGING A BOOK BY THE COVER.

No, i dont mean Simon Cowell or Kara DioGuardi
(even though i have my own perspectives on how she judges...
but then agn, i dont even know how to spell her name properly, so screw it, for now :P...
altho, YAY!!!! LEE DEWYZE WON!!! YAY! YAY! YAY!
coz i love the dude and the way he sings~ ;D

Anyways, I dont like the fact that people judge.
I mean, negative emotions like jealousy and selfishness are probably inevitable,
considering the somewhat competitive aura that surrounds us.
Status in society is imperative, thus inevitably breeding various negative traits.
But the one negative feeling or ACT, even, that i just HATE the MOST is
JUDGING people. And i dont mean talent time.
While most people argue that judging is, too, inevitable, it is the cause for most other negative traits to surface, bringing out the ugly side of everyone.
And judging is alot easier to STOP than feeling competitive or jealous.
You can stop yourself from being judgemental ---its all in your head, and thats all that matters.
Being jealous and stuff, yeah, it can be stopped too, but why does it all begin?
MOST of the reasons is due to (thats right), being judgemental.
Judging people by the cover is totally unfair.
You dont know a person, and then you just simply assume things.
Usually such assumptions are based on a negative light, of course.
Thats where other emotions sprout, and the rest is pretty much history.
And i dont like it.
Being judged SUCKS. Emphasis on the S-word there, okay.
I mean, really. Who likes being judged? Celebrities don't.
NOBODY DOES. Nobody likes being judged. So why do people do it?
Well, it depends on who they are la.
But just imagine yourself.
You see a totally muscular guy covered in a bunch of tattoos and piercings sitting at the coffeeshop, and you automatically assume he's some gangster or thug randomly finding fault with people.
But who knows?
He might just be an innocent young man who loves body art and piercings.
Scene 2. You see a lady with her hair dyed pink and dressed in weird outfits, and you assume that she is one of those people rebelling against society and the world.
But who knows?
She might just like punkish, rock fashion, or she might be Pink's numba one fan so she dons what Pink wears.
OR, imagine, you see a girl talking animatedly with her friends, making a lot of noise.
She has keychains hanging out from the pocket of her school uniform, and double piercings (but they're soooo tiny you cnt see unless you're 5cm near), and wearing school shoes with her socks almost invisible.
You assume she's just making alot of noise to get everyone's attention and you immediately dislike her, because you dont like her loud character and her appearance.
So you diss her in front of everyone and spread the word. All because of assumptions. And who knows?
She could be a straight-A student with the least points for L1R5 in the level, and she's just loud because GOD MADE HER SO.
And maybe the keychains were because she's always losing her wallet so the "ching"-ing sound from the keychains assured her that her wallet would be in her pocket. Nothing to do with fashion or trends.
And maybe, just maybe, she rarely gets to go overseas with her friends, so she wanted it to be memorable and chatted animatedly with her friends because she was excited and everything. And she wanted every second of the trip to count.
Because she loved her friends.
And thats it.
But no, you assumed wrongly. And you know what sucks more? When the victims find out about such wrong judgements. The consequences can be worse. I mean, i dont know...
Lets take scene 3 for example.
I dont know... Maybe she would be emotionally affected by your assumptions, since its not true.
And maybe she would feel a bit SAD, knowing that one less person in the world likes her. Just bcoz you dont like her appearance.
And maybe she would feel less confident after that.
All because of YOU, and your JUDGEMENTS.
And this might spark some TENSION and FRICTION between you two.
And whats the point of everything?
There is no point.
So why bother judging one another?
See the results of judging? Yeah. Not velli good, as you can see.
I dont like judging. I hate it. We should fine evry1 who judges people.
Seriously. Its awful and i hate it. Totally.
And the sad part is that its EVERYWHERE. On the MRT, in workplaces, on the streets... even at SCHOOL. Especially at school. And by everyone! Even teachers!!! Sometimes, in some cases, especially teachers. Not saying anything.
But its just plain... horrible. And unfair to those who tio.
It HAS to be stopped. Why cant everyone play a part in stopping judging?
Sometimes, i wish.
Sorry for being emo la. But i was just... thinking.
